Started in Staffordshire in 2008, Chandler Watson Consultancy specialise in providing comprehensive and personalised agricultural consultancy services to clients in the Midlands and Northwest. We are committed to helping farmers and rural businesses improve their operations and increase their productivity. Since Amy started in practice in 2018, she has specialised as a Countryside Stewardship Agent assisting a wide variety of agricultural and rural businesses from small holdings to large scale commercial farms; with a 100% success rate. Amy also acts as a DEFRA Agricultural Grant agent, securing funding for business owners, involving projects such as small scale livestock equipment to large scale growth and tourism projects.
In 2020, Amy became the sole Director of Chandler Watson Consultancy and her vision for the business is to provide a personal and tailored service to all clients whilst confidently leading them through the Agricultural Transition Period into a prosperous and sustainable future.

Recent Projects
Countryside Stewardship Scheme
100% success rate on securing 5-Year Countryside Stewardship Agreements which work alongside your current farming system, reducing the need for large scale changes whilst providing a considerable increase in business income.
Capital Grant Schemes
Successfully securing funding for projects such as hedgerow laying/planting, watercourse fencing, concrete yard renewals, livestock track implementations, roofing silage stores & livestock gathering areas, rainwater collection tanks etc. whilst working alongside bodies such as the Rural Payments Agency, Severn Trent Water, South Staffs Water and Catchment Sensitive Farming Officers.
Basic Payment Scheme
Preparation and submission of BPS applications including all aspects of RPA liaisons, mapping requests, entitlement trading and New & Young Farmer applications including successful applications for family partnerships with succeeding younger generations.
DEFRA Grant Schemes
Preparation and submission of applications under all DEFRA Grant Schemes including the 'Farming Equipment and Technology Fund' for equipment such as Dribble Bars, Dairy Parlour Equipment etc. RDPE Growth Scheme for funding to upgrade timber storage buildings and convert traditional buildings into a tourism development. Participation in all 2023 Schemes and involved in scheme research for future years within the Agricultural Transition Period.
Record Keeping Support
Assistance with record keeping for farm assurance and dairy supermarket contracts such as manure management / NVZ plans, soil testing and soil, water & biodiversity plans.
Collaborative Projects with Allied Professionals
Projects such as Agricultural to Residential Class Q permitted development, Agricultural to Commercial Farm Shop Class R permitted development, valuations, landlord & tenant matters, tenancy agreements, cash flows/budgets, succession planning, health & safety plans, expert witness and financial business management.
